The ICs and Systems Design Department is located in Warsaw at Aleja Lotnikow 32/46 in buildings V, VI and VII.
We are involved in ICs design since beginning of seventies of 20th century. In the past we were in strong cooperation with former polish semiconductor factory . TEWA, being de facto its R&D center. Quite a few number ICs produced by TEWA were designed in our department. We were also involved in designs, which were produced in small volume on ITE proprietary technological line.
Thanks to the Europractice program membership we have an access on educational basis to the CAD EDA software from vendors like Cadence, Synopsys what is vital for contemporary IC designs. Besides, we also have an opportunity to manufacture our designs within small volume MPW runs in variety of processes (including Deep Submicrons DSM, VDSM processes) from many foundries (e.g. AMS, TSMC, UMC).
We are performing research and development works in a field of ICs and microsystems design, which at present are the key factors of product innovativeness and competitiveness.
At present we focus on following:
- integration of heterogeneous systems,
- RF wireless communication circuits,
- EMC of ICs - electromagnetic emission of ICs and their immunity against external EM interferences.
We also perform industry-founded IC designs in different processes (CMOS, BiCMOS, SOI).
